A device appearing as off-contract is considered as not able to communicate anymore.The device might be physically communicating but its messages will not be delivered on the Sigfox Cloud.
Reasons for the off-contract status
There are multiple reasons why a device would enter this status:
- Its subscriptions has expired and the device was unable to renew it since the contract it was using is depleted/oudated
- Its renewal was not authorized (see the Subscription automatic renewal article for more information)
- It was suspended and tried communicating (see the Suspend/resume article for more information)
- It was used in a replacement (see the Replace a device article for more information)
How to exit the off-contract status
In order to exit the off-contract status, you have to use the Restart feature (see the dedicated article for more details).
